Dr. Christie Foreman, BSc.(Hons), DDS

Dr. Christie Foreman completed her BSc. degree at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia before completing her DDS degree at the University of Alberta. During her studies, she received numerous scholarships and awards including the Governor General's Silver Medal and Dental Alumni Association Prize for excellence in her academic and clinical work. She strives to deliver dental care in a gentle, honest manner with a focus on patient education and conservative, preventative techniques.

Dr. Foreman has lived in Banff since 2012 and enjoys giving back to the community. She and her team have volunteered at local daycares (Banff and Lake Louise), as well as Alberta Health Services (Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies) and also Town of Banff Settlement Services (Newcomer Orientation Week, After-School Program) to provide education and screenings. You can also find her team yearly at the health fairs at the Fairmont Banff Springs and Banff Centre, and sometimes in the Canada Day Parade!


Dr. Darrell Morden, BSc., MSc. DDS.

Dr. Darrell Morden is a graduate of the University of Alberta (DDS., 2002), Simon Fraser University (MSc., 2001) and Trinity Western University (BSc., 1995).

Dr. Morden is excited to practice in Banff part-time and enjoys offering the full range of general dentistry as well as some specialized procedures such as extraction of impacted wisdom teeth, placement of dental implants and periodontal flap surgery. He also practices in Calgary at West Calgary Dental Group.

Dr. Morden is married with four children. He enjoys swimming, the mountains and flying light aircraft.





Rocell Gercio-Chad, RDH (Hygienist)

Rocell is a Hygienist with Banff Dental Care


Rocell Gercio-Chad graduated from the dental hygiene program at the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology in 2003.


In 2010, Rocell launched her own progressive dental hygiene practice located in northwest Calgary. Her clinic's values focus on Leading Care, Trust, Respect, Results, and Community Focus; values that Rocell believes are essential to primary dental care.


In 2012, Rocell was elected to the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta Council. The CRDHA is the governing body that regulates the practice of dental hygiene in Alberta.


Rocell practices primarily at White Summit Hygiene Clinic in Calgary, however she is also working part-time at Banff Dental Care to fill a maternity leave.


Jocelyn Large, RDH (Hygienist)

Jocelyn is a Hygienist with Banff Dental Care


Jocelyn has been with Banff Dental Care since 2012. She has received her diploma in Dental Hygiene at Cambrain College, graduating with honors. She won the Sudbury Canada wide science award upon graduation.


Jocelyn has taken additional courses including administration of local anaesthesia to effectively treat and manage treatment plans for periodontally compromised patients. She also acts as IPCC at our office. Jocelyn has also worked in the daycare and schools of her local community to screen and educate students. Jocelyn also enjoys missions volunteering abroad to offer dental care to those who do not have access to it. Jocelyn is also a volunteer with the Canmore Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.


In her spare time she enjoys her time in the mountains exploring. With her adventurous spirit travelling is her biggest passion.


Julie Turner, RDH (Hygienist)

Julie is a Hygienist with Banff Dental Care


Julie graduated top of her class and received her diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2009 from Kent College in Toronto.


Julie is experienced in managing periodontally compromised patients and also has her local anesthetic certificate. A lifelong learner, Julie enhances her skill set through various continuing education programs and follows up with current research and articles.


Following her belief in giving back to the community, she volunteers and provides a community service in oral health care in schools to educate children in fun presentations.


During her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, yoga, hiking, and downhill skiing with her husband and two daughters.


 

Katarina Morsley, RDA, Treatment Coordinator

Katarina is a Treatment Coordinator with Banff Dental Care

Katarina graduated from SAIT in 2010 and moved to Banff in the summer of that same year to join the team at Banff Dental Care. She enjoys helping our patients understand their treatment as well as making them comfortable during their visits.


In her spare time, together with her husband, she enjoys nature photography so she couldn't imagine working and living in a better town.


A keen Vitamix enthusiast, she regularly brings her creations to the office for her colleagues to try.



Shylow Latourelle, RDA (Assistant)

Shylow is a Dental Assistant with Banff Dental Care

Shylow Latourelle was raised in Rimbey Alberta and moved to Calgary to complete the dental assisting program at KDM Dental College; graduating in September 2017.


She has a passion for learning and helping others. In a professional setting, Shylow prioritizes taking care of patients to ensure they feel welcome and safe.


Living an active lifestyle, Shylow enjoys the outdoors, camping, and spending quality time with her family.


Jill Rutten, Hyg. Co-Ord

Jill is a Hygiene Coordinator with Banff Dental Care

Jill grew up in a small town in Southern Ontario. She went to Fanshawe College where she graduated from Medical Office Administration and moved to the Western part of Canada in 2016.


She enjoys taking advantage of all the mountains have to offer; skiing in the winter, and hiking and biking in the summer. She also enjoys spending quality time with friends and family.


Jill is very passionate, enthusiastic, and hopes one day of travelling the world.


 

Teagan Crowdis, RDA (Assistant)

Teagan is a Dental Assistant with Banff Dental Care

Teagan is from Vernon, BC. She graduated from Camosun College in Victoria, BC, where she completed her certification in Dental Assisting with additional education on x-ray technology. She also has volunteer experience educating children in both daycares and elementary schools.


In Vernon, Teagan worked with three separate dentists, assisting with a range of procedures from general family dentistry to advanced surgeries such as implants and gum grafting.


In her free time, Teagan enjoys running, hiking, as well as decorating.
